By Air 

Srinagar International Airport is the easiest way to travel to Kashmir. Flights are available from the airport to major Indian cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumba and others.

By Train 

There is not a train station in Kashmir itself but Jammu Tawi is the closest. From Jammu Tawi, you can go to Srinagar or other destinations via taxi. 

By Road 

Kashmir has an excellent road system that makes travelling there by car possible. Major Indian cities are connected to Kashmir by National Highways 1 and 44.

Dal Lake - Dal Lake is the first option available to visitors in Kashmir. The vibrant wooden boats, known as Shikara, that float on the waters of Srinagar Dal Lake create a beautiful image. 

Shalimar Bagh - Shalimar Bagh was constructed during the Mughal Era. This garden, which is next to Dal Lake, has a canal in the middle with trees all around it. You can definitely visit it after Dal Lake. 

Gulmarg - Gulmarg is a popular tourist destination. In addition to being the location of ski resorts, it is the location of the tallest cable car in the world. The place is surrounded with snow and a must-try.
